- Firstly, some simple things to check for. Do you have enough RAM to unpack
- everything there? This can easily be checked by unpacking everything by hand
- to see if there are any potential problems here.
-
- And you do realise that you'll need to unpack BOTH patch sets
- to RAM: yourself? (ie. the main patch archive plus the support archive).
-
- Also check that you have enough hard disk space. You'll need between three
- and four megs of free space for the upgrade and patch to work.
-
- Finally, I'd also double-check that muFS really ISN'T the culprit here. For
- a while only half of my file upgrades were being installed due to muFS. An
- easy check is to do an mlist over a few of your key Pagestream directories to
- see what ownership and protection status it reports.
-
- If all this checks okay, my suggestion would be to run snoopdos while the
- installer is at work to see what errors get reported at the stage where the
- patch file is de-archived.
-
- Cheers,
